Safari reader mode

October 23, 2011

A very interesting feature of the Safari browser is the reader mode. Upon hitting “Reader” in the URL top line, you get an overlay window where the main text of the page is rendered in a book like way. I find it a very nice way for reading longer texts, because I can concentrate on the text itself and not being distracted by the links, images and other things that are always pulling one out of focus. In addition, it is a very nice way of obtaining (referenced) works for archiving, in paper or digital (pdf) form.
