Well, the situation I reported in the last post was diffused by massive support from the group of students, so the coleague in trouble is staying in. In the mean time, some deadlines were extended, so work may proceed at a more reasonable pace.

Sometimes, it just feels like some teachers think we are doing the masters full-time! Or, in what amounts to the same thing, that their course is the only one on. Is this really different from traditional university? Proof is in dire need.

Trust, something essential in such an environment, is easily lost, but takes quite a bit of time and effort to be recovered back.
